We are creating the first comprehensive database of Bulgarian academics and researchers in Bulgaria and abroad. Our goal is to build a platform for visibility, connection, and collaboration between them.
Bulgaria has a rare resource: over 3,000 scientists and academics at the best universities in the world — and a significant number within the country itself — who have accumulated knowledge, networks, and experience that is rarely used in an organised way.
The Almanac is a living map of this community. Not an archive, but a tool — for collaboration, for mentorship, for joint research, and for building bridges between the academic world and Bulgaria.
We started with identification. Next comes connection. Then — action.
We research and map Bulgarian academics around the world — through public sources, recommendations from the network, and direct contact.
Each academic receives an invitation to join the almanac and the Community platform — with a profile, field, and institution.
The Almanac allows universities, organisations, and initiatives to find the right person — and to request their involvement.
Lectures, mentorship, joint research, participation in executive education — inclusion is concrete, not merely symbolic.
Over 3,000 of our academics work at elite universities on 6 continents — carriers of knowledge, international networks, and academic experience from the best institutions in the world.
The challenge is not a lack of capital. The challenge is to connect it purposefully with Bulgaria's needs.
